Wetsuit Policy: Water temp should be between 60-80 degrees, if temperature is 71 and up wetsuits will be allowed, but swimmers wearing wetsuits will not qualify for prizes, and if the water is 70.9 or under all swimmers will qualify for the same races. Please note if you chose not to wear the wetsuit with the water 70.9 or under, you can still race but you may be competing for prizes against those that chose to wear the wetsuit.

Safety Meeting: Each Race will have its own Safety Meeting. MOST of the information will be available online so please read everything thoroughly so if you can't hear something you may already know the answer.

Warm up and Pre-race info: You are allowed to warm up, please make sure you are out of the water prior to the safety meeting. We will have a designated warm up/ cool down area away from the course

Finish: When you get out of the water there will be a finish line you have to cross. After you are over the finish please move to the warm up/cool down area or to your stuff on the beach.

What to bring: Feel free to bring your own water/snacks/goo, etc. For the 10 K we will have a feed station on the course that swimmers will swim past 3 times during the 10k course. Swimmers are responsible for bringing their own nutrition. Bottles should be dropped off at the Beto Duck's prior to 7:30, bottles can be picked up after awards. For our 8mile swim, swimmers must bring a kayaker for safety and nutrition on the course. You can also tow your own nutrition, or arrange to have your own escort kayaker (for the 10k).

*We will be doing our best to run a smooth, efficient, and safe race. For that we will need your help. Race Day please try to limit extra gear and be prepared with the gear you need, We will have a list of "the ideal" pack to help you out if this is your first event.
