Getting Into Open Water Swimming

Open water swimming and pool swimming are two totally different beasts, Anyone considering getting into open water should really find a mentor or a coach (or both), At Fresh Start Swim series we try to ensure our swimmers have adequate knowledge to safely participate in our races. Basic swimming is a must, but there is a lot of other information that will make your open water swim experiences (with us or others) safer. On this page you will find links to valuable resources such as you tube videos we have put together as well as coaches in the area that might be worth reaching out to help guide you through the open water process, (THESE ARE NOT OUR COACHES< Just members of the local swim/triathlon community that you can reach out to if you need more knowledge than you have).
